One Arrested with 7 MM Pistol and Ammunition in Murshidabad, Police Searching for Source of Weapons

**Murshidabad:** Acting on a tip-off, the Murshidabad police recovered a 7 MM pistol, a magazine, and three rounds of ammunition. One person named Tahid Sheikh has been arrested in the incident. His home is located in the Hulaspur North Dangapara area of Murshidabad police station.

According to police sources, the police conducted an operation in Hulaspur North Dangapara on Friday evening. There, they detained the suspect Tahid Sheikh and conducted a search. From him, a 7 MM pistol, a magazine, and three rounds of ammunition were recovered.

Initial investigations suggest that the individual was carrying the weapon with the intent to sell it. However, it is still unclear where the weapon was obtained from and to whom it was planned to be sold.

On Saturday, the arrested Tahid Sheikh was presented in the Lalbagh Sub-Divisional Court. The police have requested a seven-day remand for him.

The Murshidabad police have initiated an investigation to trace the source of the weapon, potential buyers, and whether anyone else is involved in this incident.
