42 kg 700 grams of cannabis recovered from Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, RPF and GRP investigating

**Howrah:** A large quantity of cannabis was recovered from the Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, causing a stir in Howrah. It is reported that a total of **42 kg 700 grams of cannabis** was recovered from inside the train. So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the incident. The RPF and GRP are investigating who is involved in drug trafficking.

It is known that the Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express arrived at Howrah station on Thursday morning. After that, the train was taken to the Shalimar washing line for cleaning. It was there that the cleaning staff noticed **four bags** lying inside the train. Among them were two trolley bags.

Upon suspicion, the bags were checked, and a large quantity of cannabis was recovered. The matter was immediately reported to the Shalimar GRP. Upon receiving the news, the GRP arrived at the scene and recovered the cannabis.

According to the court's directive, the recovered cannabis has been temporarily kept in the **court godown**. The GRP and RPF have started an investigation into the incident. They are looking into who brought those bags onto the train and how they were left there.

So far, no individual has been arrested in this incident. Investigators are examining various aspects to identify the owners of the bags and those involved in the drug trafficking network.
