‘I know how to conduct elections, no one has imagined winning by such a margin’, Shuvendu's message in Nandigram

**Haldia:** The BJP held a vibrant political program in Haldia centered around the nomination of its candidate Hasirani Rath for the Nandigram assembly by-election. The leader of the opposition in the state, Shuvendu Adhikari, held a meeting in Haldia with the candidate. From there, he conveyed several messages to the people of Nandigram and minority voters.

From the podium, Shuvendu Adhikari stated that the BJP candidate will win by a huge margin in Nandigram. He claimed, “I know how to conduct elections. No one has imagined winning by such a margin.”

Shuvendu also promised development to the people of Nandigram. He said that all false cases in the area would be withdrawn. Additionally, he assured that a series of developmental works would be undertaken in Nandigram.

According to Shuvendu, the services that the people of Nandigram received in 2021 will continue in the coming days. He stated, “Do not be disturbed. I guarantee that people will receive those services until 2031.”

On this day, Shuvendu Adhikari made significant remarks directed at minority voters. He said, **“This time it’s your turn to take the test.”** His comment has already sparked discussions in political circles.

After the meeting, Shuvendu Adhikari, along with party workers and supporters, walked nearly a kilometer from Kadamtala in Haldia to the office of the Haldia sub-divisional officer. There, BJP candidate Hasirani Rath submitted her nomination papers.

Political heat is already rising around the Nandigram assembly by-election. Shuvendu's statements on the day of nomination and the BJP's display of strength are believed to have further intensified that heat.
