Three Schools Submerged in Water, Exam Center Relocated to Manikchak College! 636 Higher Secondary Students Rescued by Administration via Boat

**Maldah:** On one hand, three high schools are submerged in floodwaters. On the other hand, the third semester examination of higher secondary is set to begin on September 21. The examination center is also inundated. In such a situation, hundreds of examinees from the waterlogged area of Bhutni in Maldah were practically facing uncertainty. Ultimately, keeping the examinees in mind, the district administration took an unprecedented initiative.

According to administrative sources, there are a total of **636 higher secondary examinees** in the waterlogged area of Bhutni. Many students have been preparing for the exams while enduring hardships at their waterlogged homes. However, before the exams began, it was found that the three schools designated as their examination centers were also submerged in floodwaters.

To address the situation, it has been decided to relocate the examination centers from the three schools to a **new examination center at Manikchak College**. The administration did not stop at just changing the examination center. Two days before the exams began, arrangements were made to safely rescue all examinees from the waterlogged Bhutni area and bring them to Manikchak.

On Saturday, the examinees from Bhutni were brought to Manikchak in phases by boat. After that, arrangements were made for their accommodation in three schools in Manikchak Sadar under government management. The administration has also made arrangements for the examinees' accommodation and meals until the exams are over.

Officials from the administration, including Additional District Magistrate Saptarshi Nag, were present at the Bhutni bridge to welcome the examinees. They were handed notebooks and pens. Additionally, the officials wished the examinees success in their exams.

Although the surroundings are submerged due to the floods, this special initiative by the administration aims to ensure that the examinees' studies and examinations do not come to a halt in any way. This initiative has also brought relief to parents, as it ensures the safe arrival of examinees at the examination center even in difficult circumstances.
