Police raid on medicine warehouse in Old Malda, goods worth nearly 4 million seized

**Malda:** Police arrested a person for illegally stockpiling painkiller medicines in Old Malda. Late Thursday night, a raid was conducted at a courier service warehouse near Behula Bridge, where goods worth approximately **4 million rupees** including medicines and other items were seized, according to police sources.

According to police sources, acting on a tip-off, the Malda police, with the assistance of Balurghat police, conducted the raid at the warehouse. During the search, a large quantity of painkiller medicines was found stored in multiple boxes.

It is alleged that the necessary legal documents for storing these medicines were not available at the warehouse. The police arrested a person named **Sain Khan** from the scene. It is reported that the arrested person's home is in the Kaliachak area.

Investigators are looking into whether the seized medicines were purchased or stored legally, where they were intended to be sent, and if anyone else is involved in this operation.

The police have already begun interrogating the arrested individual. They are also investigating whether there is any connection to a larger network in this incident.
