Durgapur Flooded Due to Low Pressure Rain, Difficulties Caused by Water Accumulation Under Bridge

**Durgapur:** Several areas of Durgapur are flooded due to continuous low-pressure rain over the past few days. In some places, water has accumulated on the roads, causing waterlogging, while in others, normal transportation is being disrupted due to standing water. The same situation has been observed under a bridge in the MMC area of Ward 23 in Durgapur.

Due to prolonged water accumulation under the bridge, pedestrians and local residents are facing difficulties. Ordinary people are forced to navigate through the stagnant water. As a result, daily commuting has become troublesome.

Local residents have complained that even though water accumulates under the bridge after rain, no quick drainage measures are being taken. The situation is worsening due to prolonged water stagnation. Children, the elderly, and ordinary pedestrians are facing problems while trying to cross the water.

Frustration has also arisen among local residents due to the water accumulation in the area. They demand that quick drainage measures be implemented and that permanent solutions be taken to prevent similar water accumulation after future rains.

The accumulation of water in various areas of Durgapur due to low pressure is disrupting normal life. Meanwhile, the residents are looking forward to when the difficulties caused by the water accumulation under the bridge in the MMC area of Ward 23 will be resolved.
