Fire Breaks Out in Coal-Laden Truck at Bengal-Jharkhand Border, Panic in Duburdihi Checkpost Area

**Kulti:** A sudden fire in a coal-laden truck at the Bengal-Jharkhand border has caused a stir. The incident occurred on Wednesday in the parking area of National Highway 19 near the Duburdihi checkpost under the Kulti police station. As smoke spread from the fire, drivers and traders in the parking area became panic-stricken.

It is reported that the truck was transporting coal from Nirsa in Jharkhand to Ranaghat. The driver, M.D. Siraj, claimed that the coal was being transported legally and all necessary documents in the vehicle were valid. While parked in the parking area near the Duburdihi checkpost, the truck suddenly caught fire.

Within moments of the fire starting, smoke spread all around. Seeing the situation, other drivers and traders in the parking area began to panic. The police at the Chaurangi outpost were informed. The police quickly arrived at the scene and began initial efforts to control the fire with the help of locals.

Subsequently, a fire engine arrived at the scene. Thanks to the promptness of the firefighters, the fire was completely brought under control within a short time. Since the fire was extinguished in time, there were no reports of injuries in this incident.

However, questions have arisen about how a coal-laden truck caught fire while standing still. It is being investigated whether the fire was caused by mechanical failure or some other reason. The fire department and Kulti police have started an investigation into the incident.
