Allegations of Police Brutality Against AJUP Party Workers, Overnight Protest in Front of Shaktipur Police Station

**Murshidabad:** Nawda MLA Humayun Kabir sat in protest in front of Shaktipur police station, raising allegations of police brutality and oppression against AJUP party workers. He began his sit-in at 4 PM on Saturday in front of the Shaktipur police station. He remained at the police station gate throughout the night.

It is alleged that around 9 PM on Saturday, Humayun Kabir stepped out of the police station to eat food and take medicine. He claims that at that time the police station gate was closed. Unable to enter, the MLA decided to continue his protest in front of the police station gate.

Even after night turned to dawn, he did not leave the protest. Humayun Kabir claims that he will keep an eye on who is entering and exiting the police station. He also mentioned that he would continue the protest until 12 PM on Sunday.

This protest is claimed by the MLA to be in response to the police harassment and oppression against AJUP party workers. The overnight protest by the MLA in front of the police station has also created political tension in the area.

However, it is still unknown what the police's stance is on this incident. The full picture of the incident will become clearer once the police's response regarding the MLA's allegations and the closing of the police station gate is available.
