Police Search Around House, Over 102 Kgs of Cannabis Recovered in East Bhogdhabri

**Kochbihar:** Based on information received from secret sources, the police conducted an operation and recovered a large quantity of cannabis from a house. This operation was carried out on Sunday, September 6, in the East Bhogdhabri area of Sitalkuchi police station. Legal action has been initiated against one individual in connection with the incident.

According to police sources, they received a tip-off that a large quantity of cannabis was stored at the house of **Ram Prasad Roy (30)**, son of Ganesh Roy, a resident of East Bhogdhabri. Based on that information, a decision was made to conduct an operation at the specified location.

Subsequently, the police surrounded the house and carried out a search operation. The search was conducted in the presence of the Mathabhanga Circle Inspector (CI) and witnesses.

During the search, **five nylon bags** were recovered from the house. Police sources claim that a substance resembling cannabis was found inside those bags. Upon weighing, the total weight of the recovered items was found to be **102.77 kgs**.

The police stated that the recovered items have been seized in accordance with the specific provisions of the NDPS Act. Legal action has been initiated against Ram Prasad Roy in connection with the incident.

The police are investigating where such a large quantity of cannabis was sourced from, whether it was stored for the purpose of trafficking, and if anyone else is involved in this network.
