Allegations of Sexual Assault on Minor in Salar, Grocer Arrested

**Murshidabad:** An uproar has erupted in the Salar police station area of Murshidabad following allegations of sexual assault on a minor. The victim's family has filed a written complaint against a grocer in connection with the incident. Based on the complaint, the police of Salar police station have arrested the accused.

According to police sources, the accused is named **Bichitra Pande**. He runs a grocery business in the Salar police station area. The family alleges that about 18 days ago, the minor had gone to the accused's shop. It is alleged that at that time, she was lured into the shop. It is claimed that sexual assault was committed on her there.

The family further alleges that they were threatened with harm if they disclosed the matter to anyone. Due to that fear, the minor was unable to inform anyone about the incident for several days, according to the family.

According to the complaint, about 18 days after the incident, the minor informed her mother about the entire matter. Following this, family members went to the Salar police station on Monday night and filed a written complaint against the accused Bichitra Pande.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police of Salar police station initiated an investigation. The accused was then arrested. Investigators are examining various information and circumstances related to the incident.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the accused Bichitra Pande was presented in the **Kandi Sub-Divisional Court**. The next legal proceedings in the case have begun in court.
