**Ghatal:** Ghatal is practically devastated by floodwaters. Multiple wards and areas are submerged. In this situation, Ghatal's BJP MLA Shital Kapata himself navigated a dinghy to reach the flood-affected people.

With workers from the **12th ward of Ghatal Municipality's Nichhindipur and the 10th ward's Garhpratappur** area, the MLA reached house to house in a dinghy. He handed over various relief materials, including tarpaulins, to the affected residents.

Many houses in the area have been inundated by floodwaters. Normal transportation has also been disrupted. In such a situation, local residents were happy to see the MLA reaching near their homes by boat. Shital Kapata spoke with them to understand the situation and assured them of necessary assistance.

Local residents complained that their daily lives have been practically disrupted due to the flood. Many families are facing problems with food, drinking water, and other essential supplies.

Meanwhile, leaders and workers from various political parties are also participating in relief and rescue operations to stand by the affected people during the flood situation. The images and videos of the MLA distributing relief by navigating a dinghy have caught attention in the area.
