Massive Fire at Shyambazar Station's Food Plaza, Smoke Covers the Area! Three Fire Engines at the Scene

**Kolkata:** On Monday morning, a massive fire broke out at the food plaza in Shyambazar station, causing widespread panic. Around **9:15 AM**, black smoke was seen suddenly billowing from a food stall outside the Shyambazar South branch platform. Panic quickly spread among passengers and vendors.

Fire services arrived promptly at the scene after receiving news of the fire. **Three fire engines** began working to bring the blaze under control. The fire in a confined space caused thick smoke to accumulate inside, complicating the situation further.

Firefighters attempted to break the glass of the food plaza to pour water inside. However, due to the enclosed space, they faced difficulties in getting water in and reaching the source of the fire. To tackle the situation, wooden doors were also broken to try to gain access inside. **Wearing oxygen masks, firefighters entered to extinguish the flames.**

With multiple food stalls in the plaza storing cooking oil, commercial gas cylinders, and other flammable materials, there was a risk of the fire spreading rapidly. Therefore, firefighters began the careful process of safely removing the gas cylinders one by one.
