**Kolkata:** A section of temporary health workers from the municipality protested around the car of the state's Minister of Urban Development, Agnimitra Pal, demanding a salary increase. This incident caused a stir in Chitpur, Kolkata on Monday.

It has been reported that on Monday, Agnimitra Pal participated in a dengue awareness campaign in the Chitpur area. After the program concluded, as he was leaving the area, several temporary health workers from the municipality surrounded his car to protest.

The protesters alleged that they have been working as temporary health workers for the municipality for a long time. However, their remuneration has not been increased accordingly. Despite demanding a salary increase for a long time, they claim that the issue has not yet been resolved.
