10 Bangladeshi Citizens Drown in the Ganges, 10 Rescued Including a 30-Day-Old Baby by BSF's Efforts

**Maldah:** The BSF has set an example of humanity by rescuing 10 Bangladeshi citizens who were in danger of drowning in the waters of the Ganges. With courage and promptness, the personnel of the 71st Battalion under the Malda Sector Headquarters rescued them from the Ganges near the Khanduah Border Outpost.

According to BSF sources, among the 10 rescued individuals are **3 children, 3 women, and 4 men**. They were on the verge of drowning due to a dangerous situation in the Ganges. As soon as the matter came to their attention, the border security force quickly launched a rescue operation.

Among the rescued children, a **30-day-old infant's physical condition was extremely critical**. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, the BSF personnel immediately provided first aid to the infant. Without wasting any time, the child was then taken to a government hospital.

Thanks to timely medical care and the BSF's promptness, the infant was eventually out of danger. After improvement in the child's physical condition, he was discharged from the hospital.

After the rescue operation, necessary government and administrative formalities were completed. Subsequently, the **10 rescued Bangladeshi citizens were handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)**.
