Flower Rain for Pilgrims at Shraboni Mela Starting Tomorrow, No Entry Issued on Multiple Roads

Hooghly: The traditional Shraboni Mela of Tarakeshwar is set to begin tomorrow, marking one of its main phases. With the possibility of millions of devotees gathering on the first Monday of the Shrabon month, the administration has taken several special measures regarding security and services.

According to administration sources, a flower rain will be organized from a helicopter to honor the water travelers heading to Tarakeshwar. Devotees from various parts of the country, not just West Bengal, come to Tarakeshwar to partake in this sacred journey during the Shrabon month.

For the convenience of the pilgrims, service centers have been established every 5 kilometers along the approximately 37-kilometer journey from Sheoraphuli to Tarakeshwar. These centers will provide 24-hour medical services, necessary medicines, ORS, and emergency medical assistance. Additionally, arrangements for ambulances will also be made if needed.

To enhance security, police posts, guide maps, and security forces have been deployed at various important intersections along the route. The journey from Nimai Tirtha Ghat to Tarakeshwar has been decorated with lighting to ensure that devotees face no difficulties in traveling even at night.

Meanwhile, keeping in mind the large gathering, special restrictions may be imposed on vehicle movement. The police have plans to control vehicles by declaring no entry on multiple important roads. However, the administration has stated that alternative routes will also be arranged for the convenience of the general public.

Overall, the administration has made extensive preparations to ensure the safety, healthcare, and smooth journey of the hundreds of thousands of devotees arriving at the Shraboni Mela.
