Case of Recovery of 10,000 Gelatin Sticks and 360 Detonators in Nalhati, 3 Arrested by NIA After 7 Months

**Nalhati, September 9:** Significant progress has been made in the investigation of the large-scale recovery of explosives in the Kadasir area of Nalhati, nearly seven months after the incident. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested three individuals in connection with this explosives recovery case.

The incident began on March 17 of this year. Approximately **10,000 gelatin sticks and 360 detonators** were recovered from a tractor in the Kadasir area of Nalhati. The large quantity of explosives caused a stir in the area. After the incident, the driver of the tractor fled, raising several questions for investigators.

After a lengthy investigation, on September 4, the NIA arrested the main accused, Rafiul Sheikh alias 'Angur'. Subsequently, on Wednesday, September 9, two more individuals were arrested in the case. Among the arrested are the tractor driver **Suresh Soren** and **Motahar Khan**.

According to investigators, all three arrested individuals are from the Kangle Hill area. Investigators are looking into where this large quantity of explosives came from, where it was being taken, and whether there are any other individuals or organized groups involved.

It is believed that further important information and new names may emerge from the interrogation of the arrested individuals regarding the explosives recovery incident. The investigation is also looking into whether there is any involvement of a larger network in the entire incident.
