Staff Report, Durgapur: A horrific fire caused a stir in Durgapur during the busy hours. A fire broke out at a food hotel and was completely engulfed in flames within moments. The incident occurred on Friday morning in the area near Gandhi More adjacent to L College More in Durgapur. It is reported that there has been significant damage due to this incident.

How did the accident happen?

According to local and police sources, on Friday morning, like any other day, the hotel owner was preparing for cooking. Suddenly, while heating oil in a pan, a fire broke out. The flames were so intense that they spread throughout the store in the blink of an eye. As the store was a temporary structure made of bamboo and tarpaulin, the fire quickly engulfed the surroundings. All the furniture, cooking gas cylinders, equipment, and food items inside the hotel were reduced to ashes.
